Kevin Nemeth of Health First is so far the only Lethbridge practitioner certified to provide Active Release Technique, developed in the late 1980s by Michael Leahy, a Colorado chiropractor and former U.S. Air Force aeronautical engineer.
Nemeth took intensive hands-on instruction in Vancouver from Leahy himself and more than a dozen of his proteges. He plans to take further training in California this summer to enable him to work on extremities, where the application is especially useful for tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
